MotoGP - The Grand Prix Commission approves several amendments to the regulations.

The Grand Prix Commission has announced several changes to the settlement of the MotoGP World Championship, some of which come into force in 2012. The Grand Prix Commission, composed of MM. Carmelo Ezpeleta (Dorna CEO), Ignacio Verneda (FIM Executive Director, Sport), Hervé Poncharal (IRTA) and Takanao Tsubouchi (MSMA), in the presence of MM. Javier Alonso (Dorna), Mike Trimby (IRTA) and Paul Butler (Secretary of the Meeting), met in Madrid on December 14 to confirm the following changes:


Sporting Regulations:

Changes tests for the premier class and applied during the 2011 season have been confirmed.             It was also decided that the pilots involved in the MotoGP class have the opportunity to test the machines using lots of 240 tires supplied to each team builder. These tests involved before the test drivers. In the interest of competition, it was also decided that the drivers of the other teams could also test their machines, using up to 120 tires. The Grand Prix Commission also confirmed that the pilots who fail to qualify its for the race during the qualifying session can still participate if they manage to achieve a time at least equal to 107% of fastest time in the warm-up. 
          
Pilots forced from the pit lane for violating the regulations on the number of engines will be used per season from ten seconds after the green light at the exit of pit lane. The pilots of the three categories can now use a starter on the grid. The blankets will also remain on the tires until the close of the panel announcing the last minute. The generators will be removed from the panel of three minutes.

Technical Regulations:            
From 2012 and in all categories, all bikes must have a red rear light in the rain.The minimum weight of the 1000cc machines MotoGP class, currently set at 153 pounds, will increase in 2012: - In 2012: 157 kilos-In 2013: 160 pounds Dimensions wheels Moto3 category were confirmed: Before 2.50 ... x 17 uniquementArrière 3.50 ... x 17 ... only. The Commission also considered the entry list for MotoGP in 2012. The list includes nine registered CRT, plus one in reserve. The participation of registered CRT was approved by the Commission, which reserves the right to change the status of CRT at any time.
