The Grand Prix Commission has announced several changes to the settlement of the MotoGP World Championship, some of which come into force in 2012. The Grand Prix Commission, composed of MM. Carmelo Ezpeleta (Dorna CEO), Ignacio Verneda (FIM Executive Director, Sport), Hervé Poncharal (IRTA) and Takanao Tsubouchi (MSMA), in the presence of MM. Javier Alonso (Dorna), Mike Trimby (IRTA) and Paul Butler (Secretary of the Meeting), met in Madrid on December 14 to confirm the following changes:
